Verdict
iPostal1 is a good fit if you get a modest amount of mail and open little of it. It has a huge choice of addresses (4,250+), and its entry price is low. If you want most letters opened and scanned, a plan with scans included usually costs less overall. See the comparison.

Setup: Form 1583
USPS requires Form 1583 with two IDs before a US address can receive your mail. iPostal1 puts a pre-filled form in your account. You can sign at the mail center if it offers that, or notarize online through iPostal1's partner (Proof) for $25. It does not accept bank or other local notaries, and if you live outside the US you must use the online notary (iPostal1 FAQ; iPostal1 help: Form 1583). Step by step: PS-1583 guide.
Pros
- 4,250+ addresses in the US and abroad
- Low entry price, plus 2 months free on yearly plans
- Free iPhone/Android app for forwarding, scanning, shredding and pickup
- Business add-ons (registered agent, call answering)
Cons
- Scans cost extra on top of the plan
- The address you want may be a pricier tier
- A personal plan can't receive mail in a company name
Good for
RVers and travelers who mostly want an address and an envelope photo (RVer guide), and small LLCs on the Business plan (LLC address guide).
